Ajimati Commends Kwara APC Reconciliation C’ttee, Seeks Youth Inclusion

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Kwara South Senatorial aspirant, Engr. Sola Ajimati, has commended the Kwara APC for inaugurating a Reconciliation Committee to foster unity following the party’s recent primary elections.

Ajimati, who is also President of the Youth Arise for Leadership Initiative (YARLI) and Convener of the IT’S YOUTH O’CLOCK Movement, described the move as a timely step towards strengthening party cohesion and preparing the APC for future electoral success.

In a statement addressed to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and copied to the state APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, he praised the committee led by Col. Abdulwahab Ademola Lawal (Rtd.), saying it reflects the party’s commitment to reconciliation and consultation.

However, he expressed concern over the absence of youth representation on the committee, noting that young people constitute a significant proportion of the state’s voting population and are critical to grassroots mobilization and campaign activities.

Ajimati urged the party leadership to appoint one or two credible youth representatives to broaden participation and strengthen confidence in the reconciliation process.

He also called for inclusive consultations involving aspirants, party elders, women leaders, youth groups, professionals, and grassroots executives, stressing that genuine reconciliation can only succeed when all stakeholders are given a voice.
