The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Kebbi State, Abubakar Malami, has formally commenced his campaign for the 2027 governorship election, with his campaign council promising an issue-based approach focused on improving the welfare of residents.
The Director-General of the ADC Campaign Council in Kebbi State, Alhaji Sani Tadurga, disclosed this on Wednesday during a press conference held at Asbir Hotel, Birnin Kebbi.
Tadurga described the campaign as a “rescue mission” aimed at repositioning Kebbi State, rather than pursuing political interests for personal gains.
He said an administration led by Malami would prioritise key sectors including healthcare, education, security and agriculture, while focusing on improving the overall welfare of residents.

According to him, the ADC administration would also seek to revive Kebbi’s tourism sector through public-private partnerships capable of creating employment opportunities, particularly for young people.
On education, Tadurga said the party would tackle the challenge of out-of-school children and improve the quality of learning through what he described as a robust education policy.
He said the proposed policy would support the effective implementation of education-for-all programmes across the state.
The campaign council also promised to take the ADC’s message to communities across Kebbi, assuring residents that no community would be neglected during the electioneering process.
Tadurga urged voters to assess the ADC governorship candidate based on his programmes and policies ahead of the 2027 election.
He said the party would engage residents across the state on issues affecting their daily lives while presenting its plans for improving development outcomes in Kebbi.
The campaign council said the focus of the ADC’s 2027 governorship campaign would be on presenting practical solutions to challenges facing residents and securing a stronger future for the state.
